We’re thrilled to invite all facilitators and facilitators in training to join us for the first in what we plan to be a new book club series! 🎉 Together, we’ll be reading Undoing Drugs: How Harm Reduction is Changing the Future of Drugs and Addiction by Maia Szalavitz.

Undoing Drugs is a fascinating and inspiring read, tracing the roots and evolution of harm reduction and how it’s shaping policy and addiction treatment and recovery today. Szalavitz brings real stories, practical strategies, and a deep commitment to meeting people where they are. Her work aligns beautifully with SMART Recovery’s focus on compassionate, evidence-based support that respects each individual’s path. 💬💙
By reading and discussing this book together, we’ll have the chance to:

📜 Understand the history of harm reduction and its growing role in addiction recovery.
🤝 Reflect on creating more inclusive, supportive spaces for all participants.
